Can I get a reimbursement for unused service vouchers?

Service vouchers purchased by you can be reimbursed or exchanged, with the following exceptions: vouchers that have expired cannot be reimbursed; vouchers purchased in a previous calendar year cannot be reimbursed. Can I use the service vouchers for domestic duties in areas of my home that are used for professional purposes?

No. These service vouchers can only be used by private clients. However, self-employed businesses can make use of these service vouchers for the areas in their home used for private purposes only.

Tax deduction

When you purchase these service vouchers, you will be entitled to a tax deduction of 30 % on the total purchase price of the vouchers (limited to approx. EUR 2,400 (= approx. 350 vouchers) per spouse or de-facto partner). As a result, vouchers purchased at EUR 7.50 per voucher will only cost EUR 5.25 after tax deduction. What if I temporarily require more domestic help due to certain circumstances, such as illness?

First, we need to find out whether your regular domestic helper is available for an additional number of hours. If not, then we will try to find a different employee who can help you with domestic duties during a certain period of time.

What if I temporarily require less domestic help, e.g. during a long stay abroad in winter months?

In that case, we regret that we cannot guarantee that our employee will still be available for you upon your return. We will allocate a new client for our employee and, if you wish, we will try to find a new solution for you upon your return.

What if I would like more hours of domestic help?

It is not easy to extend the work schedule for the same client from 4 hours to 8 hours per week, for instance. Nevertheless, we will endeavour to meet your requirements in consultation with you and with our employees.

What type of activities are GreenHouse employees not permitted to perform?

In the framework of our service vouchers, only standard domestic duties should be performed. In other words, no activities should be performed that may be hazardous or damaging to health, such as washing ceilings, working outdoors in extreme temperatures, etc. Gardening, DIY chores and child minding duties are strictly prohibited. Performing cleaning duties in common areas of apartment buildings is also prohibited.
