Paid annual leave

Your domestic helper will inform you in due time about his or her booked annual leave. Contact us if you would like us to send a replacement worker during these holiday periods and we will try our best to find a replacement for you!

Year-round domestic help

All our staff are employed under a permanent employment contract. This means that your domestic helper will be available year-round, except on public holidays, days of annual leave and during leave of absence due to illness. Please inform us at the latest 14 days ahead of any days on which you do not require domestic help for well-founded reasons (e.g. booked holidays, hospital admission, etc.).

What is not allowed? (some examples)
  • cancelling the appointment because you will be home from work that week
  • systematically interrupting the schedule of the domestic helper during school holidays
  • cancelling the appointment because it is a nice day and you decide to visit an amusement park
  • cancelling the appointment because your children want to sleep in after the exam period
If you fail to give us due notice, our employees will be faced with an unexpected income loss. GreenHouse cannot absorb these losses and therefore reserves the right to cancel the services and to put the client’s name back onto the waiting list.

What if the domestic helper is ill?

If your domestic helper is unable to attend to his or her duties due to illness, then you will be informed as soon as possible by your domestic helper and/or our agency. Please notify the agency if you require a replacement worker. In the event of long-term absence due to illness, we will do our best to find a replacement for you. However, we do ask for your understanding in the matter as we may not be able to provide a replacement worker immediately.

Insurance

All GreenHouse employees are insured against occupational accidents while at work and during their commute to and from work. GreenHouse also has third-party liability insurance against any damage or loss caused by our employees.

However, the following limitations apply:
  • only damage claims that exceed EUR 300 will be considered
  • further specifications regarding the extent of the damage will be required
  • the insurance excess is always at the client’s expense
  • our insurance company will decide independently whether or not the claim is accepted
  • to prevent damage as much as possible, we ask that you avoid the use of stain removers and scale removers wherever possible.
Ordering service vouchers

You need to allow some time for delivery of the service vouchers from the time you place your order. To ensure a smooth process, please keep the following tips in mind:
  • order your vouchers well in advance and allow up to ten working days for delivery
  • order a large enough number of vouchers: each voucher is valid for 8 months
  • ensure that you pay the correct amount; if not, the full amount will be immediately reimbursed into your account
  • you may prefer to purchase your vouchers through a standing order via your banking institution: this way you will never run out of vouchers!
If you do not have any service vouchers available when your domestic helper has completed their duties, then he or she will fill out a credit voucher. You can give the correct number of overdue service vouchers to your domestic helper as soon as you have received your next batch.

If you are experiencing problems while ordering vouchers, please contact Sodexo, the company that issues the vouchers, on the following number:

Tel. 02/547 54 95
